The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced Suryansh Shedge as the replacement for Nitish Kumar Reddy for India’s upcoming white-ball tour of Ireland and England. Following further assessment, he has been ruled out for at least a month. That means Nitish won’t feature in the 7 T20I matches against Ireland and England, from June 26 to July 11, and the 3-match ODI series against England, from July 14 to 19.
“Nitish reported left quadriceps discomfort after the third ODI against Afghanistan on June 20. Following a subsequent medical assessment, the BCCI Medical Team has recommended a period of rehabilitation, ruling him out of both T20I series,” the BCCI said in a statement.
