Our Wimbledon issue is here, which means summer has properly arrived, whatever the weather, and whatever havoc the tennis may create with the TV schedules.
I know not everyone greets a fortnight of baseline rallies and late-running matches with unconfined joy, as there can be moments when BBC One and BBC Two listings begin to resemble a particularly elaborate parlour game designed to test the resolve of anyone trying to find the programme they thought was on at a particular time.
As a child, I dreaded Wimbledon because it meant that the children's television timetable dissolved into disarray. It was agony for me when programmes were moved to BBC Two because on our ageing black-and-white set the 'second channel' was a blizzard of static, with Jackanory appearing as if through a snowstorm. Even the promise of Robinsons lemon barley water felt scant compensation.
But these days I look forward to Wimbledon. There's something deeply peaceful about surrendering a Saturday afternoon to a five-setter: open windows, the murmurs from Centre Court and life proceeding at the pace of the game's ebb and flow. In this issue, Tim Henman, Annabel Croft and Jamie Murray (who joins the BBC's team this year) guide us through what to expect from the tournament.
So yes, the schedules may wobble, but for two weeks the world slows down a little. And in Law Towers, at least, the barley water is already on standby.
