In the same video, Srikkanth called the 15-year-old Bihar-born a national treasure. The 66-year-old asks the Indian team management to provide Vaibhav Sooryavanshi with proper guidance during his early days in his career.
“He has an incredible big-match temperament. It is so important for Indian cricket that they groom him properly. He is a national treasure who'll do wonders for India. All his big knocks are at a minimum of 200 strike rate, when no one else is even in the territory. He is truly a wonder kid and is creating viewership impact all around the world,” he opined.
After the conclusion of the tri-nation series in Sri Lanka, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi will join the national camp for the upcoming tour to the United Kingdom to face Ireland and England in white-ball matches.
