CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. — Fathers and grandfathers celebrated Father’s Day at the 20th annual Father’s Day Car Show at Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion.
Visitors enjoyed a stroll through the gardens while looking at classic cars. People participating in the car show popped their hoods open to give others a look inside.
One man came to the show with his grandchildren.
“Car shows are a good way to get people together, and if you have a father or a grandfather that’s a car enthusiast, and you want to say thank you, then you take him to a car show, and that’s what happened to me,” said Paul Hawkins.
“I feel like he’s just really funny, and I love just being around him. He just makes the world a better place by just smiling and he’s always there,” said Maeve Sullivan, who visited the show with her grandad.
This was the third car show they’ve gone to in Canandaigua.
