The toys are back in town! Seven years after the first instalment – and, incredibly, 31 years after the original – Woody, Buzz Lightyear and co have returned to the screen for the latest instalment in the Toy Story franchise.
This time around, it's Jessie who takes the lead as the toys face one of their toughest threats yet: modern technology.
The villain on this occasion is Lilypad (voiced by Past Lives star Greta Lee), a frog-themed tablet who commands the attention of Bonnie in a way that spells disaster for our old favourites.
Of course, the likes of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen and Joan Cusack all reprise their iconic roles from the franchise and there is also a return for popular Toy Story 4 breakout Forky, so plenty to keep long-term fans happy.

No – Toy Story 5 is not currently streaming.
As is the case with pretty much every Pixar film – except for a few that were released during the height of the pandemic – Toy Story 5 will be getting an exclusive theatrical run, so for now the only chance to watch it is to take a trip to the pictures.
It was released in cinemas on Friday 19 June, so at time of writing we're still very much at the beginning of that run. But the good news is that it has received the widest of wide releases, so you should have no shortage of options to choose from.
Simply check the times at your local cinemas to find a screening that best suits you!
When might Toy Story 5 be available to watch at home?
Of course, the film will eventually be available to watch at home – in the first instance via digital download on the usual range of Premium Video on Demand options including Prime Video and YouTube.
Disney tends to favour pretty long theatrical windows for its biggest films – which Toy Story 5 definitely counts as – so we'd probably be looking at a gap of around two months, as was the case for the recent Zootropolis 2.
With that in mind, we could be looking at a home release some time in mid-August, although we'll of course keep you posted if we hear anything more concrete.
As with the rest of the Pixar catalogue – including all four previous Toy Story films – the movie will eventually also be available to enjoy at home for those with a subscription to Disney Plus.
As usual the wait will be a little longer for this than for the PVOD release, probably by around a month, and so looking at previous comparable examples we'd expect it to arrive on the streamer some time in September.
Once again, we'll be looking our for official updates and will amend this page as and when they come through.
