The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Thursday theend of the military blockade imposed on all maritime traffic entering andleaving Iranian ports, one day after US President Donald Trump and IranianPresident Masoud Pezeshkian signed a memorandum of understanding remotely toend the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
"All US military efforts related to enforcing theblockade have ceased," CENTCOM said, noting that naval forces would remainin the region to monitor compliance with all aspects of the agreement andensure its continued implementation.
