Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly said on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, that the messages delivered by President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during a series of meetings held on the sidelines of the G7 Summit in the French city of Évian were strong and clear.
They stressed the need to maintain the priority of the Palestinian cause, implement the second phase of the agreement to end the war in the Gaza Strip, and highlighted Egypt’s efforts in this regard in coordination with the United States and mediators.
The president also emphasized that achieving stability in the region requires all parties to adopt a responsible approach based on respect for the sovereignty of states, rejection of any aggression or interference in their internal affairs, ending occupation, adherence to the rules of international law, preserving national state institutions, and ensuring that weapons remain solely in the hands of legitimate state institutions.
Madbouly made these remarks while chairing the government’s weekly meeting on Wednesday at its headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
During the meeting, he reviewed the President’s key activities over the past few days, topped by his participation in the G7 Summit in Évian, France.
The summit was attended by the leaders of the group’s member states, as well as several invited countries, including Egypt, which participated as a partner nation.
The premier noted that the President’s participation included numerous meetings and important sessions on the sidelines of the summit, during which several strong messages were conveyed regarding Egypt’s position on the current crises in the region.
President al-Sisi met with the President of the European Commission, the President of the European Council, and the German Chancellor.
He also attended an important session entitled “Navigating Crises and Sustaining Stability in the Middle East”.
Madbouly stated that among the President’s key messages was Egypt’s readiness to exert every effort, in cooperation with regional and international partners, to reach sustainable solutions to unresolved issues.
Egypt also hopes that the framework agreement reached between Iran and the United States will mark a new phase characterized by conflict resolution and reduced regional tensions, the premier noted.
The President reiterated Egypt’s complete rejection and condemnation of unjustified attacks against the Gulf Arab states, affirming Egypt’s full solidarity with and support for these countries in preserving their security and stability.
He stressed that the security of Arab states is an integral part of Egypt’s national security.
In this context, the premier expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to President al-Sisi for Egypt’s sound vision and steadfast positions regarding regional and international crises.
He also praised Egypt’s clear stance against attacks targeting Arab countries and its unwavering support for Gulf nations, considering such support an integral part of Egypt’s national security.
During the meeting, Madbouly also referred to developments in the region, which have taken a new turn following the announcement of a framework agreement between the United States and Iran. This step comes after months of intensive negotiations and regional mediation efforts, supported by a number of countries.
Madbouly said: “As this framework agreement between the United States and Iran enters a new phase and approaches formal signing, there is cautious optimism.
We all hope for a comprehensive settlement of geopolitical crises in the Middle East to ensure regional and global peace and stability, especially after years of wars and conflicts that have caused significant suffering and left numerous negative repercussions on the region’s economies, supply chains, maritime navigation, and many other aspects that continue to affect conditions throughout the region and the world.”
The premier also renewed his greetings to the President and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, expressing hope that the coming year will bring goodness, growth, and prosperity to Egypt.
