In Wednesday’s Professional Women’s Hockey League draft, seven former Bishop Kearney Selects players were selected, including first overall pick, Caroline “KK” Harvey.
All Selections
Three of the seven selections played on Team USA’s gold-winning Olympic team back in February: Harvey, Edwards, and Simms. Eight total alumnae competed in the Olympics, five were on Team USA.
This comes just one day after Webster native and another Bishop Kearney alumna, Haley Winn, won the league’s Rookie of the Year award. Winn plays for the Boston Fleet and also won a gold medal in Milan.
There are 12 teams in the PWHL and 72 total selections in the college draft. The league just finished its third season.
