Back in 1981, pop culture was defined by the wedding of Princess Diana, the launch of MTV, and songs that 45 years later still get stuck in our heads. One such song was the hit single "Jessie's Girl" from Australian rock superstar, Rick Springfield. The global chart topper would go on to win Springfield his only Grammy award in 1982.
Recently, Springfield took to the stage in Indiana on tour with Sammy Hagar and performed the career-defining hit. The performance, which took place on June 14th, shocked fans in the best way possible.
Not only did Springfield, who is 76-years-old, sound incredible, but as fans noticed, he appears to be fully aging backwards.

Springfield shot to stardom in the 1980s with his music career, and became synonymous with power pop rock anthems. While "Jessie's Girl" is the song most associated with him and was his breakout hit, he also topped the charts with the singles "Don't Talk to Strangers," "Affair of the Heart," and "Love Somebody."
In addition to his music career, Springfield has also found plenty of success on both the big and the small screens. For several years, he was a series regular on the daytime soap, General Hospital, portraying Dr. Noah Drake. He also appeared in American Horror Story, and starred opposite Meryl Streep in Ricki and the Flash.
The "Best of All Worlds Tour" with Hagar is a limited tour ending later this month in June. Springfield has many more shows planned for the summer, with all of the information available on his website.
