A new search has been launched nearly one week after a volunteer group in Mexico received an anonymous tip about Nancy Guthrie's whereabouts. According to TMZ, Buscando Corazones Nogales returned to the field on Tuesday, June 16, in hopes of finding new answers in the case.
The group told the outlet it remains committed to the search and is now focusing on two new locations in the area, which was described as “vast” and “difficult to cover.”
Last week, the volunteers gathered to investigate a tip that reportedly pointed to an “unmarked grave,” according to the New York Post. While the search did uncover 25 unmarked graves, none were linked to Guthrie, and no significant evidence was found.

Meanwhile, the Pima County Sheriff's Office released a statement about the development.
“We are aware of reports regarding an anonymous tip related to the Nancy Guthrie investigation that was provided to a group in Mexico. At this time, we have not been contacted by Mexican authorities,” the statement read. “This investigation remains active and ongoing, and we will continue to follow up on any credible information."
Investigators have been working numerous leads in the case, sifting through evidence, and trying to find out what happened to Guthrie, 84, who went missing on Sunday, Feb. 1.
