ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Threat Tracker is green but need to keep an eye on Thursday for some passing thunderstorms with downpours. Strong winds are possible on Thursday with gusts over 40mph. Will continue to look at new date into the afternoon and if the wind threat looks more likely we may need a Yellow Alert for tree and power issues Thursday.
Tuesday is looking great with a mix of sun and clouds, low humidity, and milder temps into the afternoon. The high temp will reach the mid 70s with a little breeze off the lake. Most of us stay fry but there will be a small pop-up shower chance in the hills south of Rochester later in the day. Better chance for showers on Wednesday but no washout expected. A few showers or a thunderstorm will be possible in the morning and also early afternoon. Breezy and drier later in the day with temps into the 70s.
Looking ahead to Friday and the weekend the weather will be improving. Friday will still see a thunder threat but some drier and sunnier skies in the forecast for the weekend. Juneteenth on Friday and the start of the Jazz Fest, plan on a possible rumble of thunder with some wind. For Father’s Day Sunday it should be mainly dry and pleasant with temps in the low 70s. Isolated shower possible at some point over the weekend so stay tuned to News10 for updates.
