Extremely blessed to announce my commitment to The University of Tennessee. My recruitment is now shut down as I prepare for my senior season at THE PITT! #GBO #VFL @coachjoshheupel @CoachKelseyPope @CoachHalzle @CoachGMcGruder @SPHSPIRATES @SPCoachStone @jared5_59 pic.twitter.com/48EUI5nBHt

Out of South Pittsburg (Tennessee) High School, Cooper is listed as measuring 6-1, 183 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Cooper is rated 3-stars, the No. 22 recruit in the Volunteer State, No. 31 ATH and No. 515 prospect overall in the Class of 2027.

Cooper’s flip may have been impacted by where he’ll line up on the field. His primary Florida State recruiter was cornerbacks coach Blue Adams. Tennessee wide receivers coach Kelsey Pope led the pursuit for Josh Heupel‘s staff.

Florida State is down to 10 verbal commitments for 2027. FSU’s class currently ranks No. 55 nationally on the Composite.

With Cooper in the fold, Tennessee’s 2027 class now has 16 pledges. The class is currently ranked No. 35 on the Composite.
