BRIGHTON, N.Y. — A community-wide festival took place in Brighton on Sunday afternoon.
The Jewish Community Center hosted the annual “JFest” Festival. More than a thousand members of the community were expected to gather and celebrate Jewish culture.
Despite the rain Sunday, people gathered to listen to live music inside an auditorium, made crafts and enjoyed Jewish food with friends and family.
“It’s our community festival. We brought the sunshine inside today,” said Jason Vasquez, Jewish Community Center CEO.
Vasquez said everyone came together to make the festival a special event.
