Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) has been seriously tempted by an illegal scheme in Emmerdale.
It comes after Archie Breckle (Kai Assi) decided to scam his dad Jai Sharma's (Chris Bisson) boss Caleb Miligan (William Ash).
Using sophisticated artificial intelligence voice cloning software, Archie pretended to be Caleb's daughter Steph, and asked for £5,000 to put a deposit down on a house in London. Caleb asked Billy not to disclose the fact that he'd transferred the money to his wife Ruby (Beth Cordingly), fearing that she would stop him from pandering to their daughter's wishes.
However, this honesty could've stopped him from losing a huge wad of money – just weeks after Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) stole 30k's worth of goods from his depot.
Ruby knew that Steph was actually living in Thailand, and not London.
With thousands in a fake bank account that he'd set up in Steph's name, Archie purchased a new laptop, unaware that Jai's girlfriend Kerry Pollard (Laura Norton) would be the one who delivered it. She discovered what was going on, and in true Kerry style, wanted in on the scheme.
In today's episode, the pair attempted to get another 5k out of Caleb, though were caught in the act when Pollard (Chris Chittell) walked into the room.
Caleb and Ruby were suspicious when the line went dead, and after realising it was a scam, became confused how 'Steph' was able to comment on the age gap between Ross Barton (Michael Parr) and Laurel Thomas's (Charlotte Bellamy) in their recent relationship.
The pair contacted the police, and then called Kerry into the office to change her passwords. For a moment she thought that they knew about her involvement, though managed to wriggle out of the situation scot-free.
Pollard instructed Archie to get rid of the bank account, and while they attempted to delete any evidence, Caleb and Ruby called by at David's Shop. Ruby clocked Kerry's flashy new purse, but she passed it off as counterfeit.
Humiliated by what had happened, Caleb then vowed to brother Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) that he was going to try and regain his 'edge' – and had been inspired by Kerry's latest purchase.
Consulting Billy, he said that they could launch their own counterfeit goods operation from within the depot to get the money back. It was clear that Billy wasn't on board, though after Caleb offered a 5 per cent cut of the profits, he began to consider it.
Will this lead to more trouble for Caleb?
