STAFFORD, N.Y. — Three people have died after a car crashed into a tree on Sunday on Prole Road in the Town of Stafford in Genesee County.
The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office says the car was heading north and went off the road’s shoulder, crashing around 2 a.m. Deputies say all three people died at the scene, and only one car was involved.
Deputies identified the victims as Joseph Martinez, 23, of Pavillion, Dylan Pehrson, 23, of Batavia, and Megan Merrell, 22, of Batavia. The sheriff’s office is still investigating the cause of the crash.
