Ole Miss needs a win over Troy on Sunday to keep its College World Series alive. The Rebels lost to North Carolina 6-2 on Friday, dropping them into an elimination bracket game against the Trojans on Sunday.

Dom Decker led things off in the bottom of the first as Dom Decker reached second on an error and eventually moved over to third on a wild pitch. That brought up Judd Utermark, who singled Decker in to give Ole Miss a 1-0 lead.

The advantage didn’t last long for Ole Miss, though. The Trojans responded with a two-run home run in the top of the second to knot the game at 2-2.
Ole Miss is in its first College World Series since 2022 and seventh overall. The Rebels’ last trip to Omaha ended with them winning the program’s first national championship. Meanwhile, Troy is making its first CWS appearance, starting things off with a 7-5 loss to West Virginia on Friday.
The winner of Sunday’s game between the Rebels and Trojans will move on to face the loser of Sunday night’s West Virginia/North Carolina contest.
