Dame Sarah Storey has reportedly signed up for Strictly Come Dancing 2026, and an announcement could be expected soon.
Over the past week, the BBC has announced EastEnders actress Lacey Turner, TV personality Dani Dyer and singer Delta Goodrem as part of the star-studded line-up - with more celebrities to be announced over the summer.
Storey was part of last year's Dancing on Ice line-up but was forced to withdraw due to sustaining an injury during training. The show has since been rested by ITV.
A source reportedly told The Sun: "Sarah is delighted to be taking part in Strictly and is really excited to be learning a new skill.
"She is obviously very competitive and hopes to give the contest her all, while letting viewers get to know her personality. She’s also keen to embrace the glamour of the show and is looking forward to getting dressed up."
The BBC hasn't confirmed Storey's singing to the show, but has said: "Further news about Strictly Come Dancing 2026 will be revealed throughout the summer ahead of the brand new series getting underway on BBC One and iPlayer this September."
Storey is Britain’s most successful Paralympian, with 30 Paralympic medals, including 19 golds. She began her Paralympic career as a swimmer at Barcelona 1992, aged just 14, before later switching to cycling, where she became a dominant force on both road and track.
Delta Goodrem is the most recent name confirmed to be part of the line-up, fresh off her impressive feat at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.
Speaking of joining the line-up, Goodrem said: "I’ve been incredibly honoured to perform on many different stages throughout my career – from TV, theatre, film sets, to touring my own shows around the world, there is however one stage I’ve never stepped onto and that is the ballroom floor!
"I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining Strictly and can’t wait to get started!"
There are plenty of big changes to come in the Strictly ballroom, with three new hosts at the helm of the series, as Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe have been confirmed to be replacing Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman as hosts.
And that isn't all! They'll be joined by brand new professional dancers along with returning favourites Dianne Buswell, Amy Dowden, Katya Jones, Neil Jones, Nikita Kuzmin, Aljaž Škorjanec, Jowita Przystał, Johannes Radebe, Nancy Xu, Kai Widdrington, Carlos Gu, Lauren Oakley, Vito Coppola, Alexis Warr and Julian Caillon.
