Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Mouiller) has had his heart broken in two in EastEnders.
He's definitely a chip off the old block, following in the footsteps of love rat father Max (Jake Wood). While girlfriend Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) was imprisoned for the manslaughter of her father Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey), he hopped into bed with her twin brother Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan).
In Oscar and Josh's defence, neither of them realised the connection at the time. But that doesn't excuse the multitude of times they've hooked up since, with the latest being witnessed by Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace).
She was stunned to catch them in a passionate embrace, and warned Josh that, although she wouldn't be taking action and telling Jasmine herself, he would eventually have to come clean.
Matters quickly complicated during the Slater twins' 20th birthday meal – which Oscar found himself awkwardly invited to – when a guilt-ridden Josh interrupted the "Happy Birthday" song to reveal what had been going on.
In today's episode, a furious Jasmine demanded answers, before chasing Oscar downstairs into the pub. She threw a glass in his direction, and Max had to intervene.
He whisked Oscar off home, where Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins) tried to impart some wisdom. She told the teenager that while he couldn't change his mistakes, he could start to try and put things right.
When he returned to The Vic, Jasmine said that she was finding it hard to hate someone that she loved so much. Although it would be difficult, she was prepared to put everything behind him and start afresh.
Surprisingly, Oscar declined, but reassured her that he didn't love her twin brother and wasn't going to pursue anything with him.
He then headed across the road to speak to Josh in the cafe. He was hopeful that, now that everyone knew about their affair, they could make things official.
Declining an invite to join him at Sandra Goodwin's (Dawn Steele) house, Oscar kissed Josh goodbye and asked him to focus on rebuilding his complicated dynamic with Jasmine.
Is this the end of the love triangle?
Elsewhere, at Walford Hospital, Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) felt hopeful that his nightmare may be coming to an end. Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) had taken some of the responsibility for son Jordan's (Jahsaiah Williams) car accident, saying that it wouldn't have happened if she'd kept an eye on the youngster.
However, upon returning to her child's bedside, she discovered that it wasn't clear whether his life-changing spinal operation was a success or not, and that he could be permanently paralysed.
That night, with Ian considering Chelsea's outburst as some positive news, he sat down for a beer with mum Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) and son Peter (Thomas Law).
What he didn't bargain for was Chelsea arriving on his doorstep, slapping him across the face and vowing to seek revenge.
How will Ian wriggle his way out of this one?
