ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Rochester Police say a man making threats with a gun led them to close down Glide Street near Jay Street on Monday night.
News10NBC’s photojournalist saw officers close down several blocks. Officers say they responded around 11 p.m. for the report of a fight, then spoke with several people who said a man threatened them with a gun.
Police surrounded a home where they believed the man had entered. According to RPD, officers eventually made contact with the man inside, and he exited. Police say they recovered an illegal gun during their investigation.
The man, 35, was arrested and is accused of menacing and illegal weapons possession. The road has reopened, and RPD says it may release more information later.
