The drama doesn't stop in EastEnders, as George Knight (Colin Salmon) confessed to aiding in the death of his racist adoptive father Eddie (Christopher Fairbank).
Last week, George had one final confrontation with sick Eddie, who was responsible for the death of his birth father Henry Asare four decades ago.
Having exchanged cash with Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington) so that he could spend his dying days in Albert Square, Eddie implied to his family that his stint behind bars had helped him reform, and that he deeply regretted his actions.
George was mortified to realised that, by allowing him to stay at No 1, he'd enabled daughter Gina (Francesca Henry) to be subjected to further racist abuse.
Eddie had questioned Gina Knight's (Francesca Henry) relationship with Harry Mitchell (Elijah Holloway) - saying that he could do better than to be with her - and when he relaid this to her, she was sickened.
Wanting to protect his family from any further cruelty, George made the decision to refuse Eddie a glass of water when he began to choke on some pills. He stepped slowly backwards, watching him take his final breaths.
The death is clearly weighing heavy on the Knight patriarch, as earlier this week, he headed to The Boxing Den to try and vent his anger. Despite having a brain injury, which could cause him to die if he received another head trauma, George urged Mark Fowler (Stephen Aaron-Sipple) to fight him.
He was subsequently knocked unconscious, and in today's episode, Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) rushed to hid aid. Fortunately, George woke up, but refused hospital treatment.
Phil knew that there was something seriously wrong, and as the two mates chatted, George confessed to making the decision to allow Eddie to die. Of course, with Phil's sketchy background, this is a secret that will likely stay buried on his part.
Meanwhile, across the Square, Oscar Branning (Pierre Counihan-Moullier) was juggling spending time with twins Jasmine Fisher (Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness) and Josh Goodwin (Joshua Vaughan).
While Oscar is currently coupled up with Jasmine, he's finding it difficult to harbour his underlying feelings for Josh. The two shared a moment, and during their heart-to-heart, Josh admitted that his adoptive father died prior to his and Jasmine's birthday, and that she was the only one present at the time.
When their big day rolled around, the twins were separated.
Oscar later met up with Jasmine and mistakenly mentioned that Josh had told him about their troubled childhood. She was enraged by the invasion of her privacy, and slapped him across the face.
Returning to Josh to relay what had happened, the two were unable to resist temptation and began to kiss. Little did they realise, Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) was watching through the window, having turned up at the Fox-Trueman household to invite him to a birthday meal.
What will Kat do, now that she knows about the affair?
