Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has made a mammoth decision in Coronation Street.
For weeks, he's been left guilt-ridden over Summer Spellman's (Harriet Bibby) stint behind bars. She became prime suspect in the Theo Silverton murder investigation, but protested her innocence and cited Tyrone as a witness who could prove she wasn't responsible.
When DS Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) called by, he said that he'd been at her wedding all evening, and hadn't seen Summer.
However, a later flashback showed him stumbling out of Websters' Autocentre, spotting Summer outside of the corner shop, and seeing Theo (James Cartwright) stood in the window upstairs.
The reason he'd decided to stay quiet was to save his own skin - just moments before, he'd seen Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) attempting to cut the breaks on his uncle Kevin's (Michael Le Vell) car, and while filming the incident, lost his balance.
Tyrone reached out to steady himself, but grabbed the car jack and sent the vehicle crashing down on top of Carl.
Last week, it became clear that Carl had suspicions about Tyrone's behaviour, especially when he had a secret conversation with Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan) about keeping quiet.
In today's episode, Carl revealed that he was having flashbacks to the night of his injury, and that he was well aware of it taking place in the garage. Tyrone's guilt intensified as he thought about Summer's ongoing predicament, and knowing that she'd purposely hospitalised herself to escape the confines of the prison.
He spoke to wife Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) about his torment, telling her everything that happened on the night of Theo's death. She ordered him to hand over his phone to the police, knowing it would be just the ticket to prove that Summer isn't a murderer.
Before heading to the station, he caught back up with Carl and revealed that he was the one responsible for him being rushed. Carl was furious, but Ty' reminded him that what happened was an accident, while the police may see the footage of him cutting Kevin's brakes as attempted murder.
On their journey to the Weatherfield cop shop, Tyrone and Fiz bumped into Gary Windass (Mikey North), and told him about what was unfolding.
Gary looked visibly sheepish at the thought of the spotlight turning towards him again.
Is he responsible for Theo's demise?
