Streets around the Obama Presidential Center in Hyde Park will experience major shutdowns ahead of a planned grand opening from June 19-21.
Closures begin Monday, including 60th Street from Dorchester to Blackstone, which will be shut down from 6 a.m. on Monday through 6 a.m. on Friday, June 19.
A portion of 60th Street from Blackstone to the eastbound lanes of Stony Island will be closed for two weeks beginning at 6 a.m. Monday through 5 p.m. on Monday, June 22.

More closures are expected on Monday, June 15, impacting portions of Midway Plaisance, Blackstone Avenue, Cornell Avenue, Stony Island Avenue and more. Parking will be restricted, with certain lanes remaining open and others fully closed.
Some residential streets west of the center will also be restricted, with access only for residents.
Officials urge drivers to plan alternate routes.
