Inspired by Season 9 (2014) America’s Got Talent winner Mat Franco, 21-year-old magician Geno Ploeger from Arizona will take the AGTstage on Tuesday night with a unique card trick that combines storytelling with incredible sleight of hand!
“When I was really little, I watched Mat Franco win the show when I was 10 years old and it was really cool,” Geno tells judges Mel B, Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Sofia Veraga in this early release video. “Two years ago, I actually had the opportunity to intern under him and learn from one of the greats.”

Well, it definitely paid off, because Geno, who began doing magic when he was 5 years old, got four yeses, the beginning of making his dreams come true on the America’s Got Talent stage just as they did for his mentor. Now he just needs to make the Judges Cuts into the Live Shows.
“Can I just say, I’ve never seen magic done so quick with so much showmanship,” Mel B said when Geno finished his act. “Shut the front door right now. That was brilliant, entertaining, magical.”
Howie wasn’t quite as impressed, adding some constructive criticism for Geno.
“What you did was so entertaining, you were so professional, and so exciting,” he critiqued. “That being said, the first time I saw somebody tell a story with cards was Mat Franco, so I would say if you're lucky enough to come back, do something that is so you and not something reminiscent.”
But Mel B disagreed interrupting Howie and saying, “That was amazing.”

Then it was Simon’s turn to pass judgment. He said, “We saw earlier maybe one of the best magic acts we've seen. You have something completely different, which is this incredible enthusiasm, love for magic. You can see it in your eyes. And you have put the work in which is why you really deserve to be here. However, everything is subjective.”
And with that the voting began.
Howie said, “I believe you deserve to be here. I want to see more. I want to see something original. It's a yes.”
Mel B was also a yes as was Sofia, and then Simon said, “This is I believe the right decision. It’s a yes.”
America’s Got Talent 2026 airs Tuesday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC. Streams next day on Peacock.
