It’s not every day that Geoff Keighley takes to the stage with a stack of world premieres, so it’s with some excitement that we report to you (almost) live from Summer Game Fest 2026 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.
For the first time, Radio Times Gaming was there in person to see Keighley – basically the greatest showman of the gaming industry - running through the reveals with his co-host Lucy James.

View oEmbed on the source websiteAs viewers have come to expect, the biggest reveals at Summer Game Fest 2026 were bookending the start and end of the showcase. And no, there was no GTA 6 in sight at either end of the event.
Summer Game Fest 2026 began with the reveal of Resident Evil Veronica, a full remake of the classic game Code Veronica, which is slated to land in 2027. The trailer, shown from a first-person perspective, kept everyone guessing as to what it was about - it started with a little old French lady talking about biscuits, but it soon gave way to some proper Resi action.
The show ended with the reveal of Final Fantasy VII: Revelation, the third and final instalment of the FF7 remake trilogy. Matt Mercer even came out to chat, and the game was given a release date window of Spring 2027. A clip showed off its impressive open world, which will allow players to sky dive onto the map from above.
