Canadian rock legends Triumph have provided a new update on founding bassist Mike Levine as the band's long-awaited 50th anniversary reunion tour enters its final stretch.
Levine, a cofounder of the iconic hard rock group, has been unable to perform on the majority of the band's first tour in more than three decades due to ongoing health concerns. According to drummer, vocalist and cofounder Gil Moore, the veteran musician continues to deal with an undetermined physical condition that has kept him off the road.
Speaking in a recent interview with radio personality Tigman of WPDH, Moore said the band remains hopeful but realistic about Levine's chances of joining them before the tour concludes on June 10 in Quebec.
"It's just an ongoing process, hoping that he's going to be able to rejoin. Thus far he has not," Moore said.

The drummer added that while the possibility still exists, fans should not expect a guaranteed return during the remaining dates.
"I'd say [there 's] a slim chance we'll still see him before the end of this run," Moore explained. "I don't want to mislead people, you know? He's got a struggle that he's working his way through, health-wise."
The update comes as Triumph continues its first full tour since disbanding in 1993. The anniversary run marks a major milestone for the Canadian rock trio, which helped define arena rock throughout the late 1970s and 1980s with hits including "Lay It on the Line," "Magic Power," "Fight the Good Fight" and "World of Fantasy."
Levine's absence has been deeply felt by both his bandmates and longtime fans. Moore said he remains in regular contact with the bassist and continues to monitor his progress.
"We think about him and we miss him every day," Moore said. "The minute he's physically capable, he'll have his bass shipped out, and he'll be on an airplane. It's just a matter if that's going to happen or not."
According to Moore, Levine's son Matthew has attended several tour stops and has even appeared onstage to interact with concertgoers while the band waits for news regarding Levine's recovery.
Health issues involving Levine were first discussed publicly in late 2025. During an appearance on SiriusXM's Ozzy's Boneyard, the bassist revealed he was experiencing problems with one of his hands.
"I'm going to attempt to play as many shows as I can," Levine said at the time. "I have a problem with my hand that precludes me from being able to really play well. That is a big issue. I don't want to go up there and not be able to execute properly."
Although he hoped to participate in selected performances, the condition ultimately prevented him from taking part in the majority of the tour dates.
Despite being away from the stage, Levine has closely followed Triumph's performances and has praised the musicians helping carry the tour forward.
The current touring lineup features Moore and guitarist-vocalist Rik Emmett alongside bassist-vocalist Todd Kerns, who stepped in for Levine. They are joined by former Triumph guitarist Phil X and drummer-keyboardist Brent Fitz.
Levine, born in Toronto on June 1, 1949, helped form Triumph alongside Moore and Emmett in the mid-1970s. Throughout the band's career, he contributed bass, keyboards, backing vocals, songwriting and production work, appearing on all 10 of Triumph's studio albums.
As the tour approaches its final dates, the band remains hopeful that Levine's health will improve enough for a return. For now, fans and fellow band members continue to support the founding bassist while celebrating Triumph's historic reunion and 50-year legacy.
