ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A deaf-blind patient is suing Strong Memorial and Highland hospitals after she says they failed to provide her with interpreters.

The lawsuit says the woman was left unable to understand what was happening during two trips to the emergency room and one scheduled surgery over the course of the last three years. The suit says the hospitals did not provide the in-person sign language interpreter she needed.
