A woman who won a life-changing slot machine jackpot at a tribal casino in California says her luck was long overdue.

The Light & Wonder machine hit for $1,278,830.66 on just an $8 bet.
I still can’t believe I won, but I deserve this,” Michelle said.
Sycuan treated Michelle to a complimentary stay and a massage at Spa Ritual to help her relax after the milestone win.
“It’s truly special to see our guests experience moments like this where a single spin can change someone’s life in an instant,” said Rob Cinelli, general manager of the casino resort. “We extend our sincere congratulations to our guest on her life-changing jackpot win.”
Sycuan is located roughly 30 minutes outside of downtown San Diego in Southern California. The resort property is owned and operated by the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation.
Sycuan offers 2,400 slot machines, 50 live dealer table games, poker and bingo rooms, 300 hotel guestrooms, a resort pool with cabanas, 80,000 square feet of convention space, a spa, and an 18-hole golf course.
Life-Changing Jackpots
Sycuan says Michelle’s $1.2 million payout was the largest slot win at the casino this year. It marked the third seven-figure windfall following million-dollar jackpots won in January and February.
Year to date, Sycuan says its machines have paid out almost $15 million.
Across the country in Florida, a lucky player at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa hit for $1.18 million on a $25 bet. The play came on a Dragon Link game from Aristocrat Gaming. A gambler at Gila River’s Lone Butte casino in Arizona won $1.4 million on a $15 spin on Light & Wonder’s Frankenstein machine.
The richest win of late came in Las Vegas at Aria on the Strip. The MGM Resorts property reports that a player hit a Dragon Link jackpot worth $2,359,167 on a $100 spin.
Small-stakes players have also found luck. In January, a player at MGM’s Beau Rivage in Biloxi who was playing a one-cent Wheel of Fortune machine won $1,132,124.08. And last month, an online gambler playing Hard Rock Bet in New Jersey won $1.94 million on a 20-cent bet.
