The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has revealed the auction date and schedule of the 2026 edition of the Maharaja Trophy T20. Previously, KSCA had confirmed Srikantadatta Narasimha Raja Wadeyar Cricket Stadium in Mysuru and KSCA Stadium in Hubballi as the two venues, but the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will also host matches now.
Returns to M. Chinnaswamy Stadium
The last 10 matches, including the playoffs, will be played in Bengaluru. The last time the Maharaja Trophy T20 was played at the Chinnaswamy was in 2024, when the entire season was held there. Citing expansion of seating capacity, KSCA had finalised Mysuru and Hubballi as the venues. But there’s a change of plans now.
“In line with the Karnataka State Cricket Association’s vision of taking top-quality cricket to fans across the state, the tournament will be staged across three centres. The Mysuru leg will be held from June 20 to 26, before the action shifts to Hubballi, from June 27 to July 3. The tournament will then move to Bengaluru, from July 5 to 12,” the KSCA said.
2 new teams in action
Shivamogga Yodhas (previously Shivamogga Lions) will face Mysore Warriors in the second match of the Maharaja Trophy 2026 season. Coastal Kings Mangaluru (previously Mangaluru Dragons) will make their debut against Hubli Tigers on June 21.
Maharaja Trophy T20 2026 auction: date & streaming details
The auction will be held on June 5 in Bengaluru. More than 150 players will go under the hammer from 9 AM to 1 PM and will be streamed on SonyLIV and broadcast on Sony Ten 5.
