ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Hardly a cloud in the sky to start this first week of June with cooler than normal temperatures. We can thank a large dome of high-pressure located north of the great lakes which has kept a very dry northeast flow moving across the area. This comfortable weather will likely continue through mid-week before the wind direction begins to change. Thursday and Friday will bring a more southwesterly wind flow which will usher in more summer-like conditions. However, with warmer temperatures and higher humidity the chance of showers and thundershowers will be on the increase heading into the weekend.
Tonight, look for clear, moonlit skies. It will be another cool night with the low temperature dropping into the upper 40s. Tuesday will feature more sunshine and pleasant temperatures with the high reaching into the low to mid-70s. On Wednesday and Thursday, you can expect mostly sunny skies, and it will turn a little warmer. The temperature will push into the upper 70s to nearly 80 degrees.
Once Friday and Saturday arrive the heat and humidity will be felt. And with that increasing humidity it is likely bring us more showers and thundershowers.
