ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A convicted felon is facing new charges after Rochester police say he shot multiple rounds in the air with a handgun and had multiple guns.
On May 29, police say they responded to Morrill Street for a ShotSpotter activation. They say while enroute, there was a 911 call for a domestic situation. When officers got there, they say they found evidence of shots fired and detained the suspect, 41-year-old Antoine Kendrick.
After preliminary investigation, police say it is believed Kendrick went out on the front porch and shot multiple rounds from a handgun into the air during a domestic argument.
Police say they executed a search warrant at the place and recovered four total handguns and a shotgun.
Kendrick was brought to the Monroe County Jail and is charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second, third, and fourth degrees, criminal possession of stolen property and prohibited use of a weapon.
According to police, Kendrick is prohibited from having a firearm in New York State due to previous criminal convictions, including robbery in the first degree.
