ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Today makes seven days in a row with mainly dry weather and overall, it appears this trend will continue. A cold front approaching from the northeast, which we call a backdoor cold front, will sweep across Western New York this Sunday evening. There is the small chance of a brief shower, but essentially this is a dry front and will only serve to drop the temperature for Monday. Otherwise, the mild and dry weather continues for this first week of June.
Tonight, look for patchy clouds and just the small chance of a shower or sprinkle east of Rochester. The low temperature will be near 49 degrees. Monday will feature more sunshine, but it will be a little cooler than in recent days with the high temperature in the upper 60s.
The sunny and comfortable weather should be “front and center” for the rest of the week. Look for more sunshine for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and the mercury will rise each day through the 70s.
