PERINTON, N.Y. — The man accused of murder at a Perinton apartment is expected to be in court on Monday.

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office says Tyree Ross-Simmons shot and killed Ezra John Nunez early Wednesday morning. Neighbors told News10NBC they heard a pop and then saw investigators swarming the area, on scene for hours.
The suspect and victim didn’t know each other. Investigators haven’t confirmed a motive.
Ross-Simmons’ criminal history
According to the sheriff’s office, Ross-Simmons was convicted of five felonies in Virginia back in 2020 for drugs and weapons. In addition, he was convicted of criminal possession of a weapon back in 2014 after RPD arrested him. He was also charged with DWI in Georgia.
