Odell Beckham Jr. felt the love of New York Giants fans all around him when he appeared Saturday at the Brian Burns Charity Softball Game. With rumors swirling about a reunion between Beckham and the Giants, the 33-year-old sounded hopeful he would get that chance.
Beckham had four 1,000-yard receiving seasons in five years with the Giants, missing that mark only when injuries limited him to four games in 2017. The Giants traded him to the Cleveland Browns before the 2019 season.

Beckham’s time with the Giants was marked by a number of incidents that took the focus of his on-field brilliance. He still, however, has many supporters in the fan base who would love to see him finish his career with the Giants. Even if he is a far cry from the great player he once was.
“It feels great,” Beckham said of the support. “It’s a place I never wanted to leave, and it’s just a special place in my heart. Just to see all these Big Blue jerseys. Just hoping for the best.”
Asked what he still has left in the tank after not playing in 2025, Beckham said “I guess we gonna find out soon.”
Beckham, who turns 34 in November, has suffered a number of significant leg injuries during his career. He has not had a 1,000-yard season since 2019 with the Browns.
In 2024, the last time he played in the NFL, Beckham had nine catches for 55 yards (6.1 yards per catch) in nine games with the Miami Dolphins.

Beckham played for Giants coach John Harbaugh with the Baltimore Ravens in 2023, catching 35 passes for 565 yards (16.1 yards per catch) in 14 games.
Harbaugh has said that he and Beckham are in constant communication.
“It’s got to be right for both parties,” Harbaugh said during rookie minicamp when asked about signing Beckham. “You know, Odell wants to be the kind of player that can make a difference.
“I’m pretty sure that he can make a team in the National Football League right now, but can he make a difference? It’s something he wants to do. Is his body going to hold up in the way he wants it to, and all those things are questions that need to get answered for anybody at that age.

“You know Odell. He’s confident, man. He’s confident. He’s working hard. He believes in himself.”
Since Harbaugh made those remarks, we have learned that Malik Nabers may not be ready for the beginning of the 20-26 season and the Giants lost reserve wide receiver/kick returner Gunner Olszewski to a torn Achilles tendon.
