Danzig, the heavy metal band fronted by "Evil Elvis" Glenn Danzig, announced a surprising update regarding their upcoming activities.

The seven-run tour will begin with a two-night show in Texas, followed by Louisiana, Kentucky, Tennessee, another show in Texas and concluding in California.

Adding to the excitement, Danzig invited the pioneers of "Satanic Doo-Wop," Twin Temple, as the primary support for all the scheduled shows.

Amid the active touring, Danzig revealed that they are not planning to release any new music or record any more albums in the future.

"What I've always said, when I have something to say, I'll go into the studio and record it,” the vocalist told KOMP 92.3 FM, as cited by Blabbermouth, adding “Right now I really don't have that much to say musically. I've put out so many records, with all the kids, just — when I say kids, I mean people — just downloading stuff instead of buying it, from a business standpoint, you can't make any money 'cause it costs X amount to record a record. And I'm not gonna do some stupid Pro Tools record in somebody's living room.”

While a new album is unlikely, the frontman expressed that if the band has "enough material soon, maybe," but believes that doing so is currently not “a good business model” or financially sensible.

The last time the band released a studio album was in 2020 throughDanzig Sings Elvis, a passion project tribute featuring Elvis Presley covers.
