USA Swimming Names 120 Athletes To 2026 Zone Select Camp Rosters

By Madeline Folsom on SwimSwam

USA Swimming has announced the rosters for the 2026 Zone Select Camps. They invited 120 athletes who will attend two camps at the beginning of June.

The Zone Select Camps are designed to introduce athletes to being part of Team USA. USA Swimming says, “The program’s goal is to provide athletes with the ignition, motivation, and information they need to continue setting goals, work hard, excel in swimming, and feel empowered to take ownership of their swimming careers.”

There were 30 athletes from each zone chosen, and each camp will host 60 athletes total. The selection is automatic based on the top available athlete in each Olympic event per zone for the 12-13 year-old girls and 13-14 year-old boys. After those athletes have been chosen, the rest of the slots are “wildcards”. You can see the full selection criteria here.

    The Camps

Last year, the camps consolidated to two large camps with the Western and Central zones combining for one and the Eastern and Southern zones for the other. They have continued that format for this year’s camps.

The Western and Central Zone camp will run from June 4-7 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the Eastern and Southern camp will run from June 11-14 at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.

The qualifying period this year was from January 1, 2025 to August 31, 2025 and only included LCM swims. Any athletes who have previously attended a Zone Select Camp, National Select Camp, National Team or Junior National Team training camps are not eligible to attend. Athletes are also not eligible if they have represented the United States or another country internationally.

Coaches of any athletes invited are also able to attend the camp, and will have their own track with educational opportunities, connections with USA Swimming, and networking opportunities.
