Mr. James C. Boulton

Mr. James C. Boulton, age 72, of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at his home on May 24, 2026.

Born on January 26, 1954, in Carthage, Tennessee, James was the son of the late Fletcher and Sally Boulton. He graduated from Smith County High School in 1972 and proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1973 until 1977. During his military service, he was stationed aboard the USS Blue Ridge and was present during the historic Fall of Saigon.

Following his military service, James dedicated nearly three decades of his life as a Heavy Equipment Operator with TVA at Gallatin, retiring after 29 years of faithful service.

James found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved cooking, baking, and sharing meals with family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, tending to his garden, and spending time outdoors. His greatest happiness, however, came from being surrounded by those he loved.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 31years, Nancy Boulton; children, Justin Boulton (Rebecca), Tristin Jennette, Jennifer Cason (Hunter), and Angie Ogle. He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Boulton.

James was a proud grandfather to Noah Jennette, Skyler Gregory, Miles Underwood, David Cason, Maddy Cason, Addison Brinley, Reagan Ogle, Jacob Boulton, Jordan Boulton, and Bentley Boulton. He cherished each of them and treasured the time spent making memories together.

He is also survived by his sisters, Maddie Angel (Sammy), Sandra Vantrease (Sammy), Cindy Rich, and Susan Boulton. In addition to his parents and son, he was preceded in death by his brother, Barry Boulton.

James will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his generous heart, his love for family, and his willingness to share both his food and friendship with others. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Partlow Funeral Chapel from 11:00 am until 12:15 pm. A Celebration of Life will follow at 12:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to New Leash on Life – Lebanon or Second Harvest Food Bank.
