ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Low pressure spinning over New England is driving a cool breeze and some low-mid level clouds into our region this morning. Wind gusts out of the northeast will stick around through the A.M., with maximum gusts 20-25 MPH. Those will diminish this afternoon as high pressure arrives from the north. That high pressure will also help to clear our skies, leading to plenty of sunshine by midday and sticking around for the rest of the day! We’ll still be on the cooler side however, with highs only in the low to mid 60s. Still a beautiful day for all things outdoors; you’ll just want to wear a light sweater.
Clear skies and calm winds will lead to a big cooldown overnight with lows in the mid 40s. Sunday is looking fantastic however, with sunshine sticking around, calm winds, and highs in the BEAUTIFUL low 70s. A few clouds Sunday night, with a chance of a brief and light passing shower.
Chances for rain are then close to zero for the majority of next week. The omega block keeps on blocking! Expect lots of sunshine. Temperature-wise, we’ll dip back down into the 60s for Monday and Tuesday, before climbing through the 70s Wednesday and Thursday and reaching 80 degrees on Friday. Clouds will also start to build Friday, and then our next chance of showers arrive Saturday.
It’s about time we got stuck on the NICE side of one of these blocking patterns for once. We deserve it! Get out there and enjoy it!
