ROCHESTER, N.Y. — An Oscar-winning actress will be in Rochester this summer to receive the George Eastman Award for her contribution to cinema.
Octavia Spencer will be honored at the Dryden Theatre on Friday, July 17 at 8 p.m.
Her acclaimed career includes an academy award for “The Help” and nominations for “Hidden Figures” and the “Shape of Water.”
The event will feature highlights of her work, and an on-stage conversation with Spencer.
Members of the museum will have access to advance ticket sales beginning June 15. Any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public on June 18.
