What we know so far
Deputies tell us they were called to an apartment complex on Pittsford Palymra Road Wednesday morning around 2 a.m. When they got there, they found a man shot dead in a unit, but they aren’t sure if he lived there or was visiting.
Deputies haven’t announced an arrest yet, but said Wednesday there wasn’t a threat to the public.
Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Brendan Hurley said the medical examiner has identified the victim, and the sheriff’s office won’t release the name until the family has been notified.
