West Indies announce packed 2026 home season featuring Sri Lanka, New Zealand and Pakistan

Cricket West Indies has announced a packed 2026 home international season featuring bilateral series against Sri Lanka, New Zealand, and Pakistan. The schedule brings several months of top-level cricket across formats to major venues in the Caribbean Islands during the 2026 season.

The home season will be played from June 3 to August 6, 2026. Sri Lanka will play white-ball matches in Jamaica before moving to Antigua for the Test series. New Zealand will contest five ODIs in Guyana and Barbados, while Pakistan will conclude the summer with a two-match Test series in Trinidad and Tobago.

The home season will begin in Jamaica with the arrival of the Sri Lanka national cricket team. Sabina Park will host three ODIs and three T20Is between June 3 and June 14, 2026.

After the white-ball series, West Indies and Sri Lanka will travel to Antigua and Barbuda for a two-match Test series. Both Tests will be played at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, starting on June 25 and July 3, 2026.

The five-match ODI series between West Indies and New Zealand is scheduled to take place from July 11 to July 21, 2026. Guyana’s National Stadium was initially set to host all five matches, but logistical challenges forced Cricket West Indies to shift the final two games to the Kensington Oval in Barbados.

Pakistan will then tour the Caribbean in late July for a two-match Test series in Trinidad and Tobago. The opening Test will be played at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy from July 25 to 29, while the second match will take place at Queen's Park Oval from August 2 to 6.

Approved the Arrangement as Part of Its Continued Commitment - Cricket West Indies CEO

CWI chief executive Chris Dehring revealed the venue changes for the upcoming ODI series between West Indies and New Zealand. He stated that the decision was made after discussions regarding logistical and operational challenges.

“Cricket West Indies engaged in discussions with the government of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana regarding logistical challenges associated with hosting the five ODIs. Subsequently, the governments of Guyana and Barbados proposed a collaborative arrangement to share the matches and associated operational costs between the two territories."

“Following consultation with New Zealand Cricket, Cricket West Indies approved the arrangement as part of its continued commitment to delivering a successful and memorable series for players, fans, and the wider Caribbean community.”
