Emmerdale airs emotional split for popular couple in early ITVX release

A blossoming relationship in Emmerdale has come to an abrupt end.

It comes as Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) and Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) searched for the arsonist on their farm. A number of unexplained fires have broken out on the land over recent weeks, and with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) breathing down their necks, they're more desperate than ever to track down the culprit.

Robert has been getting sleepless nights over the situation, and in today's episode, felt like he'd finally struck gold.

On the other side of a field, Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) was planning to douse his most beloved possession, Camilla the car, in oil.

Robert and Aaron were positive that he was responsible for trying to sabotage their agricultural business - despite having no motive - and tried to stop him from driving away.

As viewers know, Kammy is hiding a secret, but not that he's the fire starter. Earlier this week, girlfriend Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) had proposed celebrating Eid with his family, though he was insistent that it wasn't the right time and shut her down.

Later, she contemplated checking his phone to see if he was hiding something, though quickly stopped herself when realising that this was the same privacy invasion that ex-husband Tom King (James Chase) had subjected her to.

What she didn't realise was that Kammy is clearly estranged from his family, and has been secretly homeless for months.

After fleeing the farm, Kammy found safety Vinny Dingle's (Bradley Johnson) house. He had no idea that Aaron was spreading the word around about him being the arsonist, and Belle wanted answers.

Kammy explained to Vinny that he'd fallen behind his rent, and had taken out a number of loans to try and keep afloat. With no roof over his head, he'd been sofa surfing at Dale View and living in the barn so that he didn't overstay his welcome.

His plan was to torch his car, then claim back the money on the farm's insurance.

Suddenly, Belle waltzed in and demanded an explanation. He couldn’t bring himself to tell her the truth, seemingly confirming to her that her previous doubts over their relationship were correct and that she couldn't trust him.

She told him to leave the village, as when the unruly Dingle clan learnt of his wrongdoings, there would be trouble.

Is this the end of Belle and Kammy, and will he depart?
