Food Truck Rodeo
Food trucks and live music are coming to the Rochester Public Market on Wednesday for the second Food Truck Rodeo of the season. It runs from 5 to 9 p.m.
Food Truck Rodeo takes place on the last Wednesday of each month through September. Here’s the music lineup for the season:

Walking for Rochester fundraiser
Walking for Rochester is hosting a guest bartender fundraiser on Wednesday to support its efforts to clean up litter across the city. It runs from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Boot Room Pub on North Winton Road.
All tips will go toward supporting community cleanup events. Walking for Rochester has already removed over 2,700 pounds of litter during the first month of this year’s cleanup season.
Rochester City Council budget hearings
Rochester City Council will host its first of three meetings on Wednesday to review Mayor Malik Evans’ proposed budget for the next fiscal year. The meetings are happening at Rochester City Hall on State Street.
Evans shared his proposed budget earlier this month. The plan includes a possible property tax increase for the first time in six years. City officials say the increase would generate about $7 million to fund public safety, jobs, and affordable housing.
The budget hearings run from 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, through Friday, May 29. You can watch them live on city council’s YouTube page here. City council’s final vote is set for June 16. Here’s the schedule for day one of the hearings:
