ROCHESTER, N.Y. – After one of the wettest spring seasons on record, finally it appears the weather pattern is changing. As the sunshine made a return for this Memorial Day, so have the milder temperatures. We do anticipate a weak cold front will pass over Western New York by mid-week, but with the exception of some cooler temperatures there will be little change in our nice weather. The News10NBC First Alert meteorologists see an extended period of dry weather that will last into early June.
Tonight, look for mainly clear skies with a low temperature in the middle 50s. Wednesday brings more sunshine and it will turn noticeably warmer with the temperature rising into the lower 80s. We should note that it will be a little cooler near Lake Ontario.
A cold front crosses the area on Wednesday and Thursday, and this will bring the temperature down slightly for the middle to the end of the week. However, it should stay dry right into the weekend.
