Jack Osbourne’s Daughter, 3, Reveals Bittersweet Signs Grandpa Ozzy Still Visits - She Knows Things She Shouldn’t

Recently, Jack Osbourne's 3-year-old daughter Maple Artemis has a new bedtime routine that's both heartbreaking and beautiful: she says her late grandfather,Ozzy Osbourne, still sings to her.

"She just keeps saying, 'He sings to me at night,'" Jack revealed on Howie Mandel's podcast, his voice caught between great wonder and crippling grief.

At first, Jack thought it was just a child’s way of processing this incredible loss. Maple knew her Grandpa Ozzy — she spent the first three years of her life with the rock legend before he died in July 2025. Of course she'd remember her beloved grandpa and of course she'd miss him.

But then she started saying things that made Jack stop cold and listen to what she was saying.

"She's saying things which I'm like, 'How do you know that? I haven't said that,'" Jack explained. "The more that she brings it up... this is real."

    The Songs That Never Stopped

For Jack, Maple's experiences feel like proof that some bonds refuse to break — even when death tries to sever those bonds.

The family's love for Ozzy runs so deep. In March 2026, Jack and his wife Aree welcomed their daughter and named her Ozzy Matilda in honor of the late rock legend. Luckily, Jack had revealed the exciting news to his father about the pregnancy before he passed, creating one last moment of pure bliss between them.

"It's been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing," Jack told The Sun. "It's very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness."

When Mandel asked how Jack is responding to Maple's nighttime stories, his answer was simple and sweet: "I don't make a big deal out of it. I'm like, 'Oh, that's awesome. What's he singing to you?' I'm supportive of it."

Maybe this is exactly what little Maple needs to cope. And maybe it's exactly what Ozzy would have wanted — to keep showing up for his granddaughter, even from beyond.

    A Love That Transcends

Ozzy's transformation into "Grandpa Ozzy" was hard-won. After years of addiction and admitting publicly that he'd been "a bad father," he made a choice to be different for his grandchildren. The turning point came during an argument with Jack, when his son asked, "What about a father?"

"That kicked me in the balls so hard," Ozzy later stated. "I'd give whatever materialistic things they ever wanted. But the most important person wasn't there." The guilt was heavy but he heard something he needed to hear that day.

By the time Maple was born, Ozzy had become the amazing grandfather he'd wished he'd been as a father — present, devoted, and loving. She got to know that version of him. The one who sang to her and the one who always showed up.

According to Maple, he's keeping that very promise.

Jack's still figuring out what he believes. But whether it's a beautiful memory, a wild imagination, or something much more meaningful and beyond understanding, one thing is clear: the love between Maple and her Grandpa Ozzy didn't end when his voice in this world went silent.
