MINA — The Ministry of Commerce announced that more than 243 million essential goods have been supplied to markets and retail outlets across Makkah and the holy sites since the beginning of Dhul Hijjah. The ministry is keen on ensuring an abundant supply of vital commodities, including bread, bottled water, dairy products, and ice, and to meet the daily needs of pilgrims during the Hajj season. The provisions include over 121.6 million bottles of water; 82.2 million packages of dairy products, juices, and soft drinks; 31.3 million loaves of bread; and more than 7.9 million blocks of ice. To sustain this immense demand, daily production capacities have been aggressively scaled to exceed 32.6 million bottles of water, 24.7 million packages of milk and juice, 8.8 million loaves of bread, and 2.2 million ice blocks.The ministry affirmed that its field inspection teams will continue their rigorous supply monitoring and oversight efforts across all markets and commercial establishments.
