Here are swims you might have missed Friday night.
Highlighting night three of swims you might have missed at the Pro Series stop in Sacramento was Ella Legg who dropped over six seconds on the day to punch her ticket into the final of the 200 fly tomorrow night. The 14 year old entered as the #24 seed with a 2:23.03 but blasted a 2:16.94 to be the #6 seed heading into tomorrow.
14 year old Elaine Luisetti who dropped 7.81 seconds in her 400 freestyle. Luisetti entered the meet as the #23 seed with a best time of a 4:28.50 from July 2025. She moved her way all the way up to win the ‘B’ final in a 4:20.69. She now sits just outside the top 100 all-time in the age group.
Also highlighting the girls side was 16 year old Emma Hussein as she dropped 3.72 seconds in the 200 back. Hussein was the #21 seed coming into the meet with a 2:22.46 from last June and posted a 2:18.74 tonight for 10th in semifinals.
Dropping over a second in the 50 free was Olivia Somers who was entered with a short course yards time of a 23.30. Her previous LCM best time was a 27.25 from August and she swam a 26.02 for 17th tonight.
Highlighting the boys side was Ian Maldonado who booked his ticket into the final of the 200 fly tomorrow night with a 2:02.54 for 7th. Maldonado’s best time before today was a 2:05.29 he swam in July at Futures in Madison, Wisconsin. Maldonado will be one of two 16 year olds in tomorrow night’s final as Charlie Cancelmo swam a 2:00.38 to be the #2 seed.
15 year old Tommy Jiang dropped 4.75 seconds in the boys 200 back as he was the #22 seed with a 2:15.30 coming into the meet and swam a 2:10.83 for 19th in semifinals tonight.
