A Rock Island line Metra train struck a vehicle in Morgan Park on Friday while heading into the city, officials said.
Around 1:30 p.m., Rock Island train 422, scheduled to arrive at LaSalle Street Station in Chicago at 1:40 p.m., struck a train near 119th Street, Metra said.
“The duration of this delay is unknown. Metra will provide updates as information becomes available,” a service alert on Metra’s website said as of 1:50 p.m.
A Metra spokesperson said it was not immediately known if anyone was injured in the collision.
