Though Beyond the Gates stars Jon Lindstrom (Joey Armstrong) and Cady McClain (Pamela Curtis) have yet to share scenes together, the former husband and wife recently broke bread together and shared the moment on social media.
McClain took to her Instagram to share a photo from a recent dinner she shared with he ex-husband and two of their friends, including makeup artist Eldo Ray Estes.
McClain captioned the post: “I happen to be spectacular friends with these spectacular people,” she shared.
“One of whom happens to be my rather talented and kind ex-husband,” she added.
The Daytime Emmy winner directly addressed those that may not understand the dynamic she shares with her ex-husband, writing, “If it baffles you… I can’t help you.”
She then elaborated, adding, “It is my experience that many people like to put other people in little boxes so they can feel more comfortable. I’m more comfortable out of the box, thank you, and so are the people I like the best.”
McClain concluded her post, adding, “We all enjoyed a lovely dinner and a very fine time.”
