Winter Juniors qualifier Caroline Rogers has announced her verbal commitment to swim and study at Brown University beginning in the fall of 2027. She publicized the news on SwimCloud by adding a school affiliation.
Hailing from Cambridge, Massachusetts, Rogers currently trains with Commonwealth Swimming, where she excels in distance freestyle and the 400 IM.
She made her Winter Juniors debut at the East meet this past December, placing 47th in the 1650 free (17:31.90), 58th in the 500 free (4:57.59), and 90th in the 200 free (1:53.11).
Rogers’ best meet of this past season came at the NSSC Senior Championships, where she won the 1650 free in 16:46.14, a new lifetime best that slashed 14 seconds off her previous mark and her first time breaking the 17-minute barrier. She also recorded season bests in the 500 free (4:56.65) and 400 IM (4:25.70), finishing third and sixth respectively, along with a sixth-place finish in the 200 free (1:52.42). Her current lifetime bests in the 200 and 500 free and 400 IM were set at Speedo Sectionals in Ithaca in March 2025, where she clocked 1:52.26, 4:56.46, and 4:23.98, respectively.

Rogers’ current lifetime bests would have placed 14th in the timed final of the 1650 free and qualified for the ‘C’ finals in the 400 IM and 500 free, setting her up to be an immediate contributor with still two seasons of training ahead before her first conference meet.
Rogers joins Sunny Kang, Emma Sloan, Annri Katoh, and Hannah Oh in committing to the Brunos’ class of 2031 so far.
*Note: A verbal commitment between an Ivy League coach and a prospective student-athlete is not an offer of admission, as only the Admission Office has that authority. The coach can only commit his or her support in the admission process. Ivy League Admission Offices do not issue “Likely Letters” before October 1 of the prospective student-athlete’s senior year of high school. The Likely Letter, while issued after an initial read of the student’s application, is not an offer of admission to the university.
