A child was airlifted from an elementary school in a northwest suburb of Chicago after suffering a “traumatic” injury from a fall on Wednesday, authorities said.
Around 3:35 p.m., Crystal Lake Fire Rescue was dispatched to Woods Creek Elementary School, located at 1100 Alexandra Blvd, for a child who was injured after a fall, authorities said.
Authorities requested a medical transport helicopter while on the scene. The child was taken to a Level 1 Trauma Center and initially listed in stable condition.
No additional information was immediately available.
